Job Description

The SAP System Project Manager is considered the subject matter expert who will lead future implementation activities of the new global SAP system (SAP E4E) that will replace the current SAP SRP, manage the local plan of activities (BPR, Business Blueprint, User Acceptance Test, Training, Go Live and Post Go Live), and coordinate activities with global and local teams. 

Responsibilities
  • Conduct the project planning activities with the Global Digital Solution Team and manage the execution of large scale, high risk, or strategic projects according to plan
  • Deliver program successfully to the countries who will utilize the platform
  • Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them by creating a project environment that enables peak performance by team members
  • Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables
  • Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual variance
  • Ensure that the delivery model proposed will correctly support the defined project objectives and requirements
  • Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases: assess and communicate risk for the engagement
  • Determine required resources for the project
  • Manage the training of the end user
  • Manage the post delivery of the project
  • Position SAP delivery methodology – Activate, Agile, Best Business Practices and Model Company correctly with the customer and project team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies/Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent training and job experience
  • Master’s degree in Information Technologies, Engineering or MBA is preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management experience in large scale, high risk, or strategic projects with full lifecycle implementations
  • Current PMP certification and/or other industry and project management certifications
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in SAP system. Good Knowledge of FI, CO, MM, PM and PS Modules
  • Deep implementation experience utilizing Agile and SCRUM methodologies
  • Knowledge of and competency in project management processes including planning tasks, resource allocation, risk management, time management, financial management, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documenting and record keeping
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills: the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Able to verbalize in clear concise and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members
  • Highly developed business acumen
  • Cultural awareness and experience working across different cultures and nationalities
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Up to (10%) of domestic travel and (25%) of international travel
  • Fluent in English is mandatory however, fluent in Spanish and/or Italian is beneficial to the project’s implementation team.
