Job Description

Under direction of the Manager, Project Planner & Cost Controller, the Project Planner is responsible for defining an initial project plan taking into account approved targets and constraints, analyzing data, tracking project progress and denoting any risk of delays or discrepancies between project progress and their economic impact  through providing reporting documentation, effectively communicating, interacting, and coordinating with site personnel and contractors; will facilitate effective coordination with procurement, finance and business development..


Work with E&C to:

  • Preparation of the time schedule in MS Project, both in development and in execution phases, as per EGP procedures.
  • Monitoring of the project progress by collecting the relevant information in order to update properly the time schedule as per EGP procedures.
  • Planning and control of the physical progress curves (S curves) for each project phase (i.e by discipline/trade, plant area, subcontractor/vendor), as per EGP procedures.
  • Provide Planned Vs Actual analysis measured against the Baseline, as well as possible drivers and actions of improvement
  • Provide information to highlight any discrepancies between physical progress of the project and their economic impacts
  • Preparation of project reports, periodically and on demand
  • Preparation of the monthly project progress report
  • Analysis of the critical path and preparation of the recovery action in agreement with the Project Team
  • Exchange, share and communicate of all information inside the project team using EGP standard and tools.
  • Analysis of the main time / cost KPIs ( Earned Value ) using EGP standard and tools
  • Identification and analysis of possible project risks in terms of time using EGP standard and tools
  • Interface with all company units on site or office based, as well as Contractors in order to provide scheduling data for the whole Project activities and resolution of potential schedule/work problems.
  • Attend periodical project meetings taking place on site or at the office
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the overall Project Planner Best Practices
  • Degree in Engineering and/or Construction
  • Very good knowledge of MS Project, Excel and Power Point
  • 2-4 years of experience as Project Planner
  • Knowledge of Project Planning processes and tools according to PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is a plus
  • Progress S-Curve and resource analysis knowledge
  • Manage multiple tasks as well as being respectful of deadlines
  • Analytical mindset
  • Attention to detail
  • Availability for (~35%) travel to site and other office locations
  • Fluent in English (Italian a plus)
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Good team-player, respect of project team rules and company rules
  • Good communication, proactivity, and problem solving skills
