Job Description

Responsible for the contractual analysis, risk assessment, redlining of all contracts, and negotiations of terms and conditions to assure the potential risks to the company are adequately assessed and mitigated. Includes coordinating with internal stakeholders, negotiating with vendors, conferring with legal counsel, and determining mitigation strategies on legal issues. Provide contract management support on multiple projects including validate invoices for payment; draft new orders and prepare contract amendments.

  • Provide full range “cradle to grave” contract management by providing input to Request For Proposals to Procurement to ensure all company E&C contractual requirements and specifications are included in accordance with company policies and procedures; lead/conduct contract negotiations on terms and conditions of construction and supply agreements while liaising effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors and legal counsel and drive the review process to ensure timely execution of agreements to maintain project schedules.                                                                                                     30%
  • Monitors multiple contracts’ and projects’ performance and scope of work determining compliance to contract requirements and needs for amendments, keeping the Project Manager apprised of status.                                                                                                                   40%

  • Supports the PM in preparing and managing the Procurement Plan and project budget through review of invoices for cost verification; weekly cost event review with contractors; regularly updating tracking logs; monthly budget review with Planning & Control and PM; revises the Procurement Plan; prepares, and distributes a detailed report for the project team and a synopsis report for management to keep the team apprised of project costs and to complete the project within budget.                        30%

         Knowledgeable of purchasing and expediting procedures

  • Knowledge of construction procedures and contracts and legal issues/terminology
  • Working knowledge of risk assessment, auditing and risk management techniques


  • BS in Business or relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience in contract management, project management and or legal experience (preparation and evaluation of contracts) in an engineering and construction environment with large scale construction projects
  • 3-5 years budget preparation and management
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Regular driver’s license required
